The role
We are currently seeking Quarry Operative to join our team at Freemans Quarry, Bristol. This role will report directly to the Quarry Manager.
What you'll do
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the quarry site to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Follow all health, safety, environmental and quality procedures, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Wear and use the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Carry out pre-start checks and daily inspections on mobile plant and equipment.
- Complete inspection records accurately and report any defects or issues to site management promptly.
- Support planned and reactive maintenance activities, working closely with the maintenance team when required.
- Operate quarry mobile plant and equipment safely and effectively, in line with training and authorisation.
- Work collaboratively as part of the quarry team, supporting colleagues and undertaking other reasonable duties to help achieve site objectives.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of site performance, safety and operational standards.
Skills & Expertise
- You will be self-motivated and have the ability to work on your own or as part of a team and be available to work flexible working patterns.
- You will also have a willingness to learn and be a good communicator.
