Pastry Chef

• Previous experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or Chef with strong pastry experience
• A passion for creating high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts
• Strong attention to detail and presentation
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
• Reliability and commitment throughout the fixed-term contract period

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to cover a period of maternity leave within our talented kitchen team. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting a range of high-quality pastries, cakes, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring they consistently meet our standards for taste, quality, and presentation.

This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the wider kitchen team to deliver an outstanding food offering in a busy and rewarding environment.

• Preparing and baking a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts, and other sweet treats
• Ensuring all products are produced to the highest standards of quality and presentation
• Assisting with menu development and seasonal specials
• Maintaining consistency in recipes, portion sizes, and presentation
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering ingredients and supplies
• Ensuring proper stock rotation and minimising waste
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the pastry section
• Adhering to all food hygiene, health, and safety regulations
• Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
• Assisting with the preparation of food for special events and functions when required
