Goods In Assistant

• Has previous warehouse, goods in or retail stockroom experience (preferred but not essential)
• A Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence would be advantageous but is not essential

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Mere Park Garden Centre as a Goods In Assistant.

As a Goods In Assistant, you'll play an important role in ensuring deliveries are received, checked and processed efficiently, helping departments receive stock quickly so it reaches the shop floor without delay.

You'll work closely with the Goods In Manager and department teams to help maintain an organised goods-in area and ensure stock is handled accurately and safely.

• Receive, unload and check deliveries against delivery documentation
• Assist with processing stock, transfers and supplier returns
• Ensure stock is accurately recorded within company systems
• Report any damaged or missing stock promptly
• Help maintain a clean, safe and organised goods-in area and yard
• Support the movement of stock from goods in to departments across the garden centre
• Work closely with department teams to ensure deliveries are processed efficiently
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices

Location: Mere Park Garden Centre

Hours: 12 hours per week, Thursday & Friday, with flexibility to work additional hours when required

This role is 12 hours per week, working Thursday and Friday.

There will also be the opportunity to pick up additional hours when required, so flexibility to increase your hours during busier periods would be advantageous.
