The role
Do you enjoy being out on the road and want a driving role where the work you do really makes a difference?
At Biocair our drivers are a truly vital part of our organisation. This is not just any driver role; it is not just any courier role. This is one of the most crucial roles in our company where what you do will make a true impact on someone's life. It is something you can be proud to be associated with. It is not about dropping 200 parcels in one day, it's about ensuring you transport a select number of time critical and temperature sensitive consignments (whether medicines or a sample from a cancer patient) in a safe, careful, and timely manner whilst maintaining the highest levels of customer care. This is a busy and fast paced role with customer care being at the centre of all you do.
We're looking for a reliable and experienced Driver who is comfortable driving in and around London, navigating busy roads and city traffic. At Biocair, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering important, time-sensitive shipments for the life sciences industry. You will need to be organised, safety-conscious and take pride in providing great customer service. If you are a confident driver who enjoys working independently, has a good eye for detail and likes being part of a supportive team, we would love to hear from you!
What you'll do
- Delivering time-critical shipments - Ensuring all collections and deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule, every time
- Protecting shipment integrity - Maintaining temperature control and handling standards for sensitive healthcare products
- Ensuring compliance and accuracy - Completing all documentation correctly and adhering to transport and safety regulations
- Representing the business professionally - Acting as a trusted and customer-focused point of contact at every interaction
- Resolving issues proactively - Identifying and fixing shipment or packaging issues quickly to prevent disruption
- Maintaining operational readiness - Keeping vehicles, equipment, and warehouse environments safe, organised, and fully functional
- Collaborating across teams - Working with colleagues and partners to ensure smooth, seamless operations
How you'll work
- Full-time (40 hours per week) Monday to Friday shifts between 04:00 and 18:00
- Fully onsite from our Sawston Warehouse (CB22 3TJ)
