The role

Berkeley Group builds homes and neighbourhoods across London, Birmingham and the South of England. We revive underused land, creating welcoming, sustainable and nature-rich places where communities thrive and where people of all ages and backgrounds enjoy a great quality of life.

We specialise in long-term brownfield regeneration, focusing on challenging and complex sites that are beyond the scope of conventional homebuilders. We are highly collaborative, working with councils and communities to create a shared vision and to unlock a mix of social, environmental, economic and commercial value that benefits all our stakeholders.

Our passion for quality and design underpins everything we do. All Berkeley homes are created with care, expertise and relentless attention to detail.

What you'll do

  • Manage designated work packages and coordinate trades through the build sequence.
  • Apply your traditional build experience to identify construction interfaces, sequencing requirements and potential delivery risks.
  • Supervise and monitor contractors, labour and site activities.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and agreed quality standards.
  • Check plans and technical information for accuracy and support the resolution of construction issues.
  • Monitor progress against the agreed build programme, key milestones and critical dates.
  • Maintain clear records of delays, inspections, quality checks and site activity.
  • Ensure Inspection and Test Plans, hold points, quality assurance and commissioning requirements are followed.
  • Inspect completed work and ensure defects are addressed promptly and to the required standard.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager and Commercial team regarding instructions, variations, contractor reporting and applications for payment.
  • Support and develop Assistant Site Managers working across your areas and packages.
  • Promote effective collaboration between contractors, consultants and the wider project team.
