Work Experience

We are pleased to offer a one-week multidisciplinary work experience programme designed to give students an insight into the built environment and how different disciplines collaborate on real projects.

This placement provides exposure across a range of professions, including:

Architecture

Building Services Engineering

Civil and Structural Engineering

Design Management

Interior Design

Urban Design and Town Planning

Participants will gain an understanding of how these disciplines work together throughout the lifecycle of a project, from early concept and planning through to detailed design and delivery.

The work experience is ideal for students who are curious about careers in the built environment and want to explore multiple pathways before specialising.

Programme dates:

July: 20th - 24th, 27th - 31st

August: 3rd - 7th

October: 26th - 30th

Each placement runs for one full week, with participants attending one week only.

Spaces are confirmed on a first come, first served basis and this application form is for you to express your interest. BDP's People Team will be in contact to confirm if there is a space available.

Please note: Our Multi-Disciplinary Work experience placements are designed for school and college students to provide an insight into the industry and are not suitable for individuals who already hold an undergraduate or degree qualification.
