Avtron is a global leader in the design and manufacture of Load Banks and Dynamometers, supplying customers across the power generation, utilities, defence and industrial sectors. We are committed to engineering excellence, innovation and delivering quality products right first time.

About the Role

We are looking for a curious, practical Technical Support Engineer to join our growing technical support function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys fault-finding, solving technical problems and identifying opportunities to improve processes. Based primarily at our UK service centre, you'll support customers and colleagues in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across Avtron's load bank and dynamometer products. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of challenges, contribute ideas and develop your technical expertise. Previous experience with load banks or dynamometers is not essential, as we value your existing engineering skills, problem-solving ability and enthusiasm for learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate faults across electrical, control and electromechanical systems, identifying root causes and effective solutions.• Provide technical support to customers by telephone and email, helping them diagnose and resolve product-related issues.• Test, repair and refurbish equipment at our service centre.• Collaborate with field service, design and product engineering teams to resolve complex technical problems.• Identify recurring issues and improve processes, technical documentation and customer support.

Job Requirements

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, with a methodical approach to technical problem-solving.• Practical knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, electronics or related electromechanical equipment.• Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to customers and colleagues.• Initiative, accountability and a collaborative attitude, with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and learning.• A full UK driving licence and willingness to undertake occasional international travel.

Why Join Avtron?
