A bit about the job
Our Delegated Authority team plays a vital role in ensuring delegated underwriting arrangements are managed effectively and in line with Lloyd's requirements.
As a Delegated Authority Specialist, you'll work closely with underwriting, compliance and operational teams to review, support and oversee delegated authority arrangements across our Syndicate business.
You'll help ensure robust governance, effective risk management and high-quality oversight throughout the lifecycle of each arrangement. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your Delegated Authority expertise while working with a broad range of stakeholders across the Lloyd's market. Your work will help support sustainable growth and positive customer outcomes.
Skills and experience we're looking for
- Experience working with Delegated Authority arrangements within the Lloyd's or London Market, including Coverholders, binding authorities or delegated underwriting relationships.
- Good understanding of Lloyd's Delegated Authority requirements and governance practices, with the ability to assess risk and review documentation confidently.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across underwriting, compliance, legal and operational teams.
- Experience reviewing contracts, conducting due diligence or supporting oversight and governance activities within an insurance environment.
- Experience using Delegated Authority systems such as ATLAS, DCOM or similar platforms would be beneficial, although we're equally interested in people who can learn new systems quickly.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the review, approval and ongoing oversight of Delegated Authority arrangements across the Syndicate.
- Conducting due diligence and onboarding activities for Coverholders, Service Companies and other delegated partners.
- Reviewing binding authority agreements and related documentation to ensure arrangements are clear, accurate and aligned to underwriting intent.
- Maintaining records across Lloyd's and internal systems, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Monitoring performance, audit activity and governance actions to support effective oversight of delegated arrangements.
- Providing guidance to underwriting teams and key stakeholders on Delegated Authority processes and requirements.
- Supporting governance forums, management reporting and continuous improvement initiatives across the Delegated Authority framework.
