A bit about the job

Our Chief Underwriting Office function is focused on providing technical leadership and oversight across Commercial Lines. The Technical Underwriting team helps ensure we make responsible underwriting decisions that support customers and drive sustainable growth.

This is an exciting opportunity to support our UK business across a diverse international portfolio, including exposures in the UK, United States, Canada, and Australia.

  • Technical expertise in Management Liability, Directors & Officers (D&O) and/or Financial Institutions insurance, with the ability to provide practical underwriting guidance.
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset, using data, market insight and emerging risk trends to support decision-making and portfolio performance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across a range of business functions.
  • Interest in innovation and continuous improvement, including the use of AI, analytics and emerging technologies to enhance underwriting outcomes.
