Project Manager

Astute's Power team is partnering with leading Waste Management Company a to recruit a Project Manager to work on a Deposit Return Scheme across the South of England.

Role Overview

• Location: Hybrid / WFH, with frequent travel to sites across the South West and Midlands

• Employment: Permanent or Contract

• Permanent Salary: £60,000-£70,000

• Contract Rate: £500-£550 per day, Inside IR35

• Permanent Benefits: Private healthcare + car allowance / bonus package

• Start Date: ASAP

• Project Duration: 15 years

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle, from project definition and procurement through to delivery and completion.

• Manage and administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, contractual compliance, programme reviews and project timelines.

• Coordinate planning, permitting, operations, local councils and key stakeholders to secure approvals and maintain delivery.

• Develop project scopes, Works Information, tender documentation, budgets, schedules and cost forecasts across M&E, civils and infrastructure works.

• Oversee site operations, contractor performance, health & safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

• Manage project reporting, financial controls, risk registers and stakeholder communications.

• Identify and resolve project issues to ensure delivery remains on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Location & Working Pattern

Hybrid / WFH, with frequent travel required to project sites across the Midlands and South West.

This is a long-term opportunity supporting a major infrastructure programme with an anticipated 15-year project duration.
