AST SpaceMobile

AST SpaceMobile is building the world's first space-based cellular broadband network. Its BlueBird satellites are designed to provide full broadband directly to standard, unmodified smartphones, allowing users to make video calls, browse the web, and use their apps at 4G and 5G speeds from anywhere on Earth. The company has partnered with over 60 mobile network operators and is working to close coverage gaps, since more than 87% of the Earth's surface is out of reach of traditional cell towers.

As a fast-growing company that operates with startup energy, AST SpaceMobile describes its mission as eliminating the connectivity gaps faced by today's nearly six billion mobile subscribers and bringing broadband to the billions who remain unconnected, with use cases spanning rural connectivity, emergency response, defense, maritime, aviation, and agriculture.
