About the role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Process Operator to join our Production team at Felinfach.
In this hands-on role, you will help operate and control our manufacturing processes, working to established procedures and Critical Process Control Points to safely and efficiently deliver the production plan. You will work across a range of manufacturing activities and, following appropriate training, operate both manual and automated process control systems.
Working closely with the Shift Production Lead, the Shift Production Manager and colleagues across the site, you will play an important part in maintaining production performance, quality, food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
About you
You are a practical and safety-conscious team player who takes pride in doing things right first time. You understand the importance of following procedures, completing accurate checks and records, and taking appropriate action when something isn't right.
You communicate well with others and enjoy being part of a team, while being confident taking responsibility for your own work. You will be comfortable working within a busy manufacturing environment where safety, quality and operational performance are key priorities.
Who we think will thrive
This role will suit someone who enjoys being hands-on and playing an active part in keeping production running safely and efficiently.
You will thrive if you

- Take a proactive approach to safety, quality and hygiene.
- Are comfortable following processes and completing accurate checks and records.
- Enjoy solving practical problems and taking corrective action when needed.
- Take pride in helping the team achieve production, quality and performance targets.
- Are keen to learn and develop your knowledge of our manufacturing processes.
These points reflect the role's responsibilities for production performance, process and quality checks, food hygiene, HACCP, health and safety, maintenance support and communication.
What you will bring
- A strong commitment to health & safety, food safety, hygiene and quality.
- The ability to work effectively within a production team and communicate across different areas of the site.
- A practical approach to operating manufacturing equipment and following process requirements.
- The ability to accurately complete process, quality and stock records.
- A willingness to learn how to operate the site's processing and packing systems using manual and automated controls.
- Relevant knowledge or experience of membrane filtration, evaporation and drying processes within dairy or whey manufacturing would be beneficial.
- Relevant qualifications or certification in areas such as Dairy Hygiene, HACCP, IOSH Health & Safety and fork truck operation would also be beneficial.
