Interim Financial Controller - Dutch Entity

6-Month Contract | Day Rate | London / Hybrid

I am currently partnering with a leading international FMCG business to recruit an experienced Interim Financial Controller for an initial 6-month day-rate assignment.

This is a hands-on role taking ownership of the financial control, reporting and statutory compliance for the Dutch entity. Working within an established international finance function, you will partner closely with local and Group stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting, robust controls and an efficient month-end close.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, commercially focused business operating across multiple international markets.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Taking full ownership of financial control and reporting for the Dutch entity.

• Leading the month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting within tight deadlines.

• Managing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls.

• Ensuring compliance with Dutch GAAP, local statutory reporting and filing requirements.

• Supporting Group consolidation and reporting requirements.

• Partnering closely with FP&A, Payroll, HR and wider Finance teams.

• Providing financial insight and supporting commercial decision-making across the Dutch market.

• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting efficiency and internal controls.

• Acting as the key finance contact for the Dutch entity throughout the assignment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification.

• Proven experience operating as a Financial Controller within an international business.

• Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting standards, statutory reporting and local filing requirements.

• Experience managing the financial reporting of a Dutch entity.

• A background in FMCG, consumer goods, retail or a similarly fast-paced environment would be advantageous.

• Strong technical accounting skills, with experience managing month-end and year-end processes.

• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across international teams.

• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to hit the ground running.
